Frontend Engineering
Reactive interfaces with Angular or React/Next.js: clean components, fast load times, designed mobile-first.
Available for new projects
I’m Stefan Lymbourides, a freelance web developer in Switzerland, and under the name LymbIT I build web applications and APIs – from the first sketch to production, using Angular, React/Next.js, NestJS and PostgreSQL, among others.
01 · About
For about 25 years I’ve been building things for the web – from hand-written HTML through the first single-page apps to today’s monorepos with server rendering and end-to-end encryption in the browser. My focus has always been the frontend: where software meets people.
Over the years, the technology itself has mattered less to me than how efficient it is. I rely on stacks that have proven themselves in daily work, that a team will still understand in two years, and that get to production without detours. I like trying new things – they go into a project when they genuinely make it better.
Day to day I work with Claude Code: for drafts, tests, translations and quickly trying out variants. Architecture, review and responsibility for every line stay with me.
02 · Services
For companies looking for an external software developer: as a freelancer or contractor – for a defined project, a smaller task or to strengthen your existing team, remote or on site.
Reactive interfaces with Angular or React/Next.js: clean components, fast load times, designed mobile-first.
Node.js services with NestJS: clear REST APIs, authentication, real-time over WebSockets, tests where it matters.
PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, serverless hosting and deployments you don’t have to fear.
I don’t just build what the ticket says: on usability and design you’ll always get honest feedback and concrete tips from me – wherever it helps your users.

04 · Projects
The project: A family of web apps sharing one account – smaller tools and larger apps whose data only leaves the browser encrypted, plus a portal with a wallet and a club site for collaboration.
My part: Everything – from the monorepo through the APIs and key management to the interfaces in four languages.
The project: A client–server application on the Microsoft stack that needed a version 2.
My part: The rebuild through agentic engineering – as a multi-user web application built with Angular and Tailwind.
MVPs: A blogging platform with social login, a mobile app, an e-commerce platform and a proof-of-concept database application.
Client project (2015): Dynamic microsites with animations and database connectivity that extended a company’s CMS beyond its built-in capabilities.
Client project (2018): A lean single-page app for preparing and structuring address data for a migration to Microsoft Dynamics – built with Angular and Bootstrap.
